Looks like I did the Alaska Hiway on XB3 too. They were very cheap in Finland, so you could use them as throwaways.
Next month it would be the 100th Anniversary of ХВЗ manufacturing.[0]
There is a good playlist on 'Oleg AC' YouTube-channel, with many video reiews of all existed variants of ХВЗ bicycles and some other vintage bicycles and in private collections and musuems.[1,2]
There is might be more videos highlighting ХВЗ on his channel be added commemorated to 100th Anniversary.
ХВЗ plant still continue producing bikes with self made frames, jigs and aluminium rims, and using all the rest parts from Shimano and China. But, sadly till the end of 2021 it planned to relocate to suburban of Kharkiv.[3]
All old factory buildings[4,5] in urban area of Kharkiv has been sold, demolished and replaced with residential and office buildings in last years.[3]
P.S. Also there are two forums, with a lot of info about ХВЗ and discussions by its owners.[6,7]
N.B. I'm Ukrainian living in Ukraine.
