Love Atuin. Combined with VS Code tunnels, makes working on multiple machines pretty painless. Up there with ripgrep, fzf and z as one of the first things I install on a new machine.

Maintainer here - love to hear you like it and that it's that important to you!

It’s great! Very elegant and has that ineffable quality of a labour of love. Thank you for your wonderful work.

I have to register an account and send all my commands in bash through some third party service???

Nope: https://atuin.sh/docs

If you'd like to synchronize your history via a server, yes

> through some third party service

You can either use the hosted one, or host your own. Either way, it's e2e encrypted and nobody can see a thing.
