Hopefully they increased the size of the fleet to coincide with this. The wait times in Phoenix have been 30+ minutes in my experience. But the experience was much better than any standard Uber I’ve been in.
huh, seems like self driving might actually work if you listen to your engineers instead of just deciding what sensors are unnecessarily expensive, just like properly testing your product, uh i mean, who wants to pay 7k$ to beta test FSD? anyone?
From watching some of the Waymo videos, it's the best of the self-driving systems out there today. I'm not denying that it doesn't still have some things to be worked on, but it's something I'd be comfortable with my elderly mom using to go to the store and back.
My FSD drives me ~25 miles roundtrip for work everyday
I would assume by using the Uber app you'd be missing numerous features that only the Waymo app can offer. Stops with trip resume, precise pickup and dropoff locations, being able to change destination enroute, etc.
Still waiting for an invite code to try out Waymo in SF. I’m only in town for a few more weeks.
