What is BuildZoom's value add proposition?

This seems like such a terrible idea that is being pushed forward by Ycombinator money.

I tired their service, it offers no benefits, is more expensive and slower for building a new home, I don't get it. For the life of me I cant figure out what their value added proposition is.

Is it just they are are a regular GC, builder but they are ALSO a "tech company" with a website and now, "AI" ?

I tried it and they are super scammy. After wasting time, I decided to look for a project manager on upwork. This person was way more knowledgeable and helpful compared to all the sales scamsters at buildzoom to analyze the bids I got and ask clarifying questions.

That said, other options to find a quality contractor like yelp or home advisor are also very hit or miss. Slightly better option is to ask your friends or walk around your neighborhood to get list of active contractors.
