Why the housing market is going from tough to terrible

Missing is any discussion suggesting the demand side for homes can support still greater prices. At some point the people who actually must sell (death, disease, divorce) will sell enough properties to undercut valuations down to market value.

What I wonder at: what will all the corporations, investors, and households do when current values undercut them so much that their under water mortgage is a problem.

Shiller (of the Case Shiller index) has said prices will peak when the fed is done with rate hikes.
