Tell HN: Google not taking back Pixel 6 Pro for Pixel 8 Pro

My wife bought a Pixel 8 Pro, partially because the page (Germany) said they would take back a Google 6 Pro paying EUR 250.

She did sent the phone, wich was always protected, and got the message they value it with EUR 0 and won't take it back.

I don't understand their reasoning, perhaps they got too many phones they can't sell.

Offering to take back phones for EUR 250 to get people pay >1100 EUR for a new phone and then not taking it back is not very customer friendly.
