Whomever submitted this sounds like they have an agenda.
FTA:
> The Israeli military says the tracking and the call to evacuate are to preserve as many civilian lives as possible during an expected ground invasion
> how do they dare to invade privacy like this /s
Moreover, how adept is it at selling this surveillance technology the World over in order to circumvent privacy but were unable to deter the attack and still be able to justify their panopticon is something I simply do not understand.
This will be like seen as a 9/11 analogue for them for years/decades to come; a tragedy that was likely avoidable, and could of have been thwarted if their overly surveilled systems in place were actually effective (big if) but because of a criminal serving as PM who gets re-elected to avoid prosecution has enabled this in order to benefit from the status quo by allowing funding to Hamas has put not just his population at risk, but the entire middle east: we have to be now and admit this is honestly a humanitarian crisis that has gone on for decades, and has led to genocide being sold as defense--never mind that whole ethnic-cleansing and illegal forceful occupation in the West Bank.
The spill-over seems rather stark, but entirely on the table at this point. And it's stuff like this that makes it seems like it's intentional and using this as window dressing and advertisement for it's spyware:
> The Israeli military allowed a New York Times journalist to view the data-tracking system, hoping to show that it was doing what it could to reduce harm to civilians — even as its warplanes killed hundreds more Palestinians on Monday, including in southern Gaza, where civilians had been told to take shelter.
I wonder if there will ever be an Israeli Edward Snowden moment?
