The Loneliest Roads in America

We should note here that the road in Wyoming, US212, has a really low average annual drivership because it's closed all winter long. During the summer, the Beartooth Highway is one of the more crowded roads in the state!

Ironically, the road that many consider to be “The loneliest road in America” - Rt 50 in Nevada - isn’t on the list.[0]

Different criteria for sure but anyone that’s driven the 50 through Nevada and considered buying a “loneliest road in America” fridge magnet at Champs in Austin (NV not TX) usually feels the loneliness.

Another NV loneliness stat: The state has more ghost towns than live towns.
