If it can be controlled via RS485 you might be able to add some smarts to it, like lowering charge level if weather is supposed to be good next few days.
There are third party solutions running on a Rasberry Pi that connects to WiFi port but it means "hacking" and it bad enough maintaining my own office I.T infrastructure.
