What blows my mind is that there are people pouring $3M into such random projects. Who are these people? Are they really looking for Cragslist ads saying "I will 10x your money, trust me bro, it's totally safe and legit"?

Unless I'm completely out of touch, which is, of course, absolutely possible, and maybe even probable.

VCs. They throw money towards anything that screams hype and this is not exclusive to crypto.

Now we have VCs throwing their money on to random so-called ‘AI startups’. This is no different.

There are whales who got into crypto at very low prices and are diversifying their billions in paper gains. It isn't necessarily net new money.
