Amazon reportedly used a secret algorithm to jack up prices

Oh no! A secret algorithm?!

I really don't mind that I don't know how Amazon's pricing system works. Even if it was public knowledge I doubt it could be adequately explained in a paragraph of a Verge article.

I do mind if they're engaging in monopolistic practices (thankfully the Verge also talked about this).
