Screen shots are here:

Check out the repo to learn how this is done from scratch.

Wish they'd just put screenshots in the repo rather than that unusable website

I feel you!

Yay, thanks! Love the LCARS look :)

Glad you like it!

Looks like they made a whole OS, just to help Twitter raise their user views stats...

Okay not really. The screenshot is on git now.

The OS should have the following default users: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scott, Sulu, Chekov, Uhura. Default password: BeamMeUp123!

Accepted for the next version

I think you mean default password ZeroZeroZeroBootZero

Now I am conflicted.

Let's vote for a default password!

did.. did you remember this? it's accurate, that's amazing.

Hell no

Should be “hellocomputer” but you have to say it out loud in a Scottish accent.

Okay speech recognition will be implemented in future, maybe with openai whisper.

easter egg: formula for "transparent aluminum"

default password zero-zero-zero-destruct-zero !

Sorry I can't let you do that.

Wrong characters for the LCARS-like interface!

on purpose, they could sue me otherwise

Fun fact Kirk never said “beam me up, Scotty” but several similar phrases like “Scotty, beam us up”

The boot sequence is hilarious.

LOL :)

Back when I lived somewhere with TV reception I used an open-source DVR with an LCARS interface. I'm totally blanking on the name of it though.

Could it be MythTV? It has a LCARS interface.

That's it. Thanks!

I think I used MythTV in the days when TV tuner cards were a thing.

The first AI operating system

Hopefully soon. Have to build it out.

Am I crazy or is there TempleOS influence here. They don’t seem related at all yet this seems to borrow some branding/naming.

I am a Terry fan. I wanted to honor him with the "Temple DOS" version name. It's just the name of v0.1 of L2E OS.

Not sure if he is right person to honour.
