The Bloomberg title seems to be editorialized by ignoring context. The quote is about search advertising, not Google Search in particular. Moreover, the comparison with drugs and cigarettes isn't wholistic. It's only in one aspect - the economics of a product never being in short demand. The document then says that this is changing.
