Even if you're not in that industry, there are a lot of parallels to be seen in the negligent decisions made leading to disaster and how e.g. ignoring proper patching practices can lead to a much greater incident than simply doing the work when it needs to be done. If you're of the personality type that enjoys reading or watching air crash investigation reports this will almost certainly appeal to you.
