How do I hide client ID's in an app I'm pushing to GitHub?

I have an app in the works that uses the SoundCloud API, for which I had to use my account to get an authenticated Client ID to gain access. I'm trying to get practice with Github and git, but what's the best approach to hide my client ID in the script to keep it from the unwashed masses on the internet? Anyone have experience with this?
