On Day 146, Screenwriters Reach Deal with Studios to End Their Strike

The last sticking point between the Writers Guild and studios involved artificial intelligence. On Saturday, lawyers for the entertainment companies came up with language — a couple paragraphs inside a contract that runs hundreds of pages — that addressed a guild concern about A.I. and old scripts that studios own. The sides spent several hours on Sunday making additional tweaks.

The Actors remain out. Presumably, Botox has made them look so wooden the AI is now more believable.

Residuals are a con people! Tax dodges abound, there is no "profit sharing" in the coke fuelled movie biz. Get paid up front, or get lawyered up, and get the financials checked. Disney doesn't want to share money with you.
