There are several extraordinary things about this episode, but the main one is clearly India have the west by the proverbials. If things escalated to the point the west wanted to detach from India in the same way as it seems to with China it is not at all obvious that they could. All those offshored services would suddenly do what? Has this turned out to be the mother of all security blind spots?

Given that if this turns out to be true, and Modi etc. get away with it, I expect they will become quite emboldened about doing this more generally.
