I have the integration with google search enabled and now I only use GPT very rarely. Having it at the top of the SERP with zero effort is much more convenient. Are you in the US? I'm in the UK and have had an ad for it in the Google app for a while, but it always errors when I tap it on my phone.

Believe it's US only which is why it won't work, but would love to give it a go. Did try a VPN but no luck still!

I'm curious, is it better then Bing Chat here (not comparing the layout)?

What I am saying is the layout is the benefit. On Bing I have to switch over to Chat and wait.
