California enacts strongest right-to-repair bill, mandating 7 years of parts

I’ve noticed a new repairable focus from many tech hardware companies from Microsoft to Logitec to even Apple.

I’ve discussed with others that it’s mostly drive by right-to-repair but the question I get back is if additional factors are at play.

Any insight on what’s driving increased repariability of tech products. Is it all right to repair or are other forces at play?
