Not just any typical chatbot, but an AI that can converse like a human, ask pertinent and unpredictable questions based on your answers, and even possess a virtual 'face' for more realistic video-call interview scenarios.

Questions for the community:

Would you find value in such a system? What potential pitfalls or challenges do you foresee? For those who have undergone intensive interview preparations, how does this compare to your current methods? Would the 'AI face' enhance the experience or is it superfluous?

Maybe for practice. It beats interviewing.io for such situations, and both rookie interviewer and interviewee. You can even set up the kind of cynical applicant who asks tough questions kind of thing lol.

As an actual solution to delegate interviews to, that sounds horrible. You wouldn't hire someone who delegates an AI to do their application interview. Interviews go both ways, and in tech, it's still up to the employer to impress the applicant during these interviews.

I would find an AI conducted interview demeaning, and giving it a face wouldn't change my opinion in the slightest.

If anything, giving it a face makes it worse. It's like a scarecrow, assuming you're dumb enough to be fooled by one.

There are a couple AI driven interview systems already out there for use as a "prep" system for junior engineers, but I'm not sure I see significant value over just grinding leetcode.

I think it would be a valuable tool for job seekers.

I don't think you need the AI Face, just sound with a soundwave would suffice.
