Ask HN: Are all these crypto jobs legit?

I started to timidly poke my nose in the job market, anticipating a ship jumping within the next year or so. It strikes me that there’s a staggering amount of crypto jobs. Blockchain, NFT, instant messaging, payment, you name it.

Is the crypto space experiencing such a high growth on all fronts that so many crypto startups pop up everywhere or are these just YOLO’ing their way forward until they run out of cash? And by the way, who is funding them? Are investors actually convinced that any random crypto project can become the next unicorn?

It all seems like a giant scam to me, and I’m very wary of applying to these companies. Am I being overly conservative?
