Threads blocks searches related to Covid and vaccines as cases rise

Hah—I didn't read "Threads" as a brand name at first, I just thought that the title was bad grammar.

Also, the first paragraph of the story describes Threads as "Instagram’s text-based social platform". Is that how they market it?

Perhaps you missed the stories last month, when "Threads" was launched, declared the next Twitter, and then declared dead. All in like 3 days time. Someone bought the cheap PR package.

Pragmatic Engineer interviewed [0] about Threads creation. It is built on top of Instagram systems, and the whole project is seen as a resounding success.

Well they probably know what's best for me.

Bingo!

I wonder if they will also block the thousands of users posting misleading information about covid and vaccines as well? (narrator: they won't)
