I am honestly and sadly not sure why crypto is still a thing now. I am unaware of any significant or major product that came out of crypto except for all the "coins" and the NFT fad. I know that on paper, blockchain tech has great potential for security and bookkeeping stuff but I don't see anyone using it for that yet. Every time crypto comes up, it is always about some virtual currency that is notoriously difficult to transact and has extreme volatility.
Can someone explain to me why crypto is still a thing in 2023? Beside the "coins" reason?
Even if it seems useless, if you look at how much day trading and stonk manipulation there is in prices where _even doing better than expected in a quarter can be a negative somehow_, you'll see how ETFs and cypto alike are a numbers game + hot potato + yeah some useful value behind those numbers.
