Call of Duty Will Use AI to Moderate Voice Chats

This potentially means many moving to different unmoderated shooters. (Potentially causing the same moderation there... with some of this being automated)
Then there's the chance of a new slang being born. If things are picked up automatically, soon people will be called a glorping chabler or whatever becomes a common workaround. This will be honestly exciting to see.
Then there are people using less popular languages which will potentially fly under the radar. And mixed up similar pronunciation like "yeah boy" and "yeba*" - which became a bit of a meme.
And that's just the top of the iceberg. I think this is an amazing social experiment to watch.
It's also in the publisher's interest to not run "that game where you need to know how to mute people yourself, because there's so many abusive ones".

even bars for adults would ask you to leave for this
I’m fine with a moderation option, but there should be an option to have unmoderated chat. Are we not adults playing an M rated game where the goal is killing each other? If you can’t handle what someone says either mute them, turn on AI moderation (a nice new option) or don’t join voice chat.
People who want to be abusive to each other during the game can always use private chat just for them.
I dont play much, but I'm in the most profitable demographic. Maybe the reaction shouldn't be "don't play the game if you expect to find a bunch of vile people there", and instead it should be a "public lobbies are moderated. Vile and septic community behaviour will result in bans. Private lobbies can be created, and in those cases voice chat will be unmoderated."
I actually look forward to these antics because the march of importing US speech and identity has been relentless here, with some of the Australian vernacular being lost in the most recent generation, being directly replaced by US equivalent words.
Overall I think the move towards AI referred moderation is a good initiative.
This sounds very interesting. Any examples?
