NSA Orders Employees to Spy on the World “With Dignity and Respect”

I'd like to apologise in advance to any NSA employee assigned to monitor my Internet activity, that dignity is going to be hard to come by for us both.

Sounds like they know something transpired systemically that we don’t, hence this new guideline out of the blue. Somehow I doubt sudden uncalled for acts of benevolence from the NSA.

Feels right, in the spirit of James Bond. If I'm going to be spied on, I want to be spied on by a gentleman.

So will those of us the NSA is monitoring get personalized, handwritten notes of (sincere) apology?

Reminder: NSA, FBI, CIA have all used surveillance assets/capabilities to cyberstalk people. as in US Citizens.

What is appalling is that if such conduct was tacitly allowed (likely only came to light when people became too brazen), of course there are more nefarious abuses related to politics and corruption.

Wonder why this policy just came to light... It's not only because of re-authorization issues.

Without a positive reinforcement loop, having a thankless job and no consequences for noncompliance isn’t going to result in adherence to the order
