Before there was Oppenheimer there was Vannevar Bush

Building 13 at MIT is named after Vannevar Bush. (Obama visited during his presidency.)

Linked at the bottom of this article, and well worth a read -- remember it was written in 1945!

I recommend the book "The Idea Factory", which is about Bell labs and begins with a short biography of Vannevar Bush.

I also recommend “Pieces of the Action” by Vannevar Bush: https://press.stripe.com/pieces-of-the-action
