Ask HN: What is with the Spotify price increase email?

Here is the email that I received from Spotify, just an hour ago:

-----

We want to remind you that the price of your Premium Individual is changing soon.

We’re increasing the price of Premium Individual so that we can continue to invest in and innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience.

As you're already on Premium, you will pay CA$9.99 until your billing date in October when your subscription will go up to the new price.

Thanks for being a fan of Premium.

The Spotify Team.

So what is the new price?! Why not show the new price too in the email?

Here is the link from the email: https://support.spotify.com/us/article/price-updates/ That does not give the new prices either!

I feel like companies using these dark patterns do not understand how off-putting this is to customers (I'd assume most customers can see right through this dark pattern, and they'd be slightly more annoyed because of this).
