There are a lot of girls who would also shy away from that precisely because it's pink. So yes, make the ropes more stylish/pretty, but don't limit it to pink. There are other colors in the spectrum that are attractive to girls (and guys) besides pink.
The point isn't the exact colour, just that nobody else seems to have even thought of looking in that direction :)
