Regardless of opinions surrounding Jan 6, I find it re-assuring that even with full face captured on photo, and the fact that many have a smartphone with them, the FBI is incapable of finding several of them after 2.5 years. I thought the surveillance state was more mature than that.

I don't normally do this, but today it's my turn to ask "why is this relevant to HN?" Unless someone's proposing to use AI to identify these faces from social media? (Which has happened in many cases, as people cheerfully posted pictures of themselves and others committing federal crimes)

Surprisingly many faces which aren’t identified yet. Aren’t people “tattling” or what’s the holdup?
