CounterCloud – AI powered disinformation experiment [video]

Is it just me, or is there a very quiet whisper of something right at the start of the video? I can’t quite make it out, but it definitely sounds like a few spoken words before the intro music starts.

So, on further investigation, it sounds like the audio intro is saying something like "Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!“. I wonder if that suggests the whole thing is a very well-executed hoax? If it is, it reminds me very much of this: [0].

Given how hard it is to tell whether it is satire, it feels like the very definition of Poe’s Law [1].
