2. The website has a lot of things, and still it is devoid of almost all information. What are the laptop's specs? How much does it cost? Or is it still just a plan, not reality? (I get it, it's not for me, it's more like OLPC if I read correctly between the lines, but it just makes the price and specs more important). I see some hints that their main target is the US... which sounds weird, at least. Not saying that people in the US doesn't need affordable PC, rather saying that with being the biggest market for ebay and craigslist, possibly used PCs are nowhere in the world are as affordable as in the US. With that said, of course it's their company, and they are free to support any country they want.
What about the OS? I see it has Gnome, but otherwise that's it. Had to look up on distrowatch to find at least a few more sentences about it, beside the overly repeated fact that it won't blow up if you yank the network cable. Still not sure why should anyone use this instead of... any other distro.

> This is somewhat comparable to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux model, where that product is paid and commercial-only, but the source code is freely available, and that has enabled communities such as CentOS to build alternative products around the same technologies.
