Rather Ridiculous Than Criminal: How Not to Be Disgusting in Renaissance Italy

Seems right up there with marcus aurelius. I love the focus on bodily functions, feels ancient but timeless.

What would a modern version look like? All the advice here has trickled down over time, and is taught to everybody growing up (in the west?). My guess is that it would focus on gender relations.
