Ask HN: Free desktop tool to detect photos with a specific face?

My kids school provides a yearly dump of all photos taken that year. These photo dumps are several GBs and I only want to find the photos which have my child in it. Is there some free software that can register a face and filter photos? I dont want to upload all these photos to the cloud.
