Twitter was caught throttling competitors and news services

"When asked about these reports, X replied with a poop emoji."

I really wonder if Elon has a strategy regarding the deterioration of Twitter or it's just something that is coming naturally following his changes.

I don't think it fully dawned on people the implications that twitter is private and owned by one person alone. Elon can do whatever he wants, without accountability to a higher power. It's his personal fiefdom now. He cannot be voted out. There is a reason a lot of companies stay private when they can go public at a higher valuation, which is total control and no accountability to shareholders.

I think what people are getting at is that Elon made a lot of noise about fairness and free speech, but in the end he really cares about neither of those things. Shocking, I know.

But those are exactly the issues people brought up when twitter was being sold to a single individual?

I guess we hang out in different circles.
