The Imminent Enshittification of the Internet

This should not be a surprise. It's not sensical to expect binary logic to accurately emulate something that has yet to be logically defined.
Statistically generated language is superficially nice and impressive but ultimately worse than meaningless if it can't be trusted. It starts to obfuscate facts rather than reveal them ---aka, "enshittification".
To me, the most disappointing aspect of all this is the number of otherwise intelligent technical leaders who desperately want to *believe* in "emergent" intelligence without any logical justification. More than 1000 such leaders recently signed an open letter signaling their devotion to this tech industry religion.
