This is unsurprising. This problem has been known for a while and even when the tech bros here have been over-leveraging and pricing out many residents to the point where the less well off residents have become homeless, well it is only going to get worse.

Like SF, the city won't change unless fundamental change in how the city is being run comes in and prices are significantly less inflated. But of course rather than solve the problem, the richer culprits would instead run to much cheaper places to restart the problem all over again; creating this same outcome.
