The two big parties in UK are terrible when it comes to privacy. For one reason or another they want the population to be recorded at all times, both online and offline. I guess it makes it easy to deal with any opponents, by blackmailing them using data collected by government agencies (which are all headed by people that went to the same schools as the politians).
Sometimes I am not even sure if it was the political parties, or the government system itself. Or the likely answer is both, are extremely incompetent.
No. The UK is making it illegal to sell secure software, and therefore the “us tech giants” can’t sell their products.

No problem there's always Yandex, WeChat, AliPay, Weibo, Baidu...They seem more aligned with Tory values anyway.
