Turns out nobody cared about panel gaps

but now they have to compete with companies who do both: BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche... for around the same price as a Tesla Model S, you could get all (except maybe the Porsche) and built by someone who cares about quality, not to mention CarPlay...
The best build quality doesn't help when the hotel's charger won't work because the QR code on the sign degraded to a point it can't be scanned anymore. Or chargers that just don't do anything, or can't be used because the control panel's display cover isn't UV resistant and was blasted by the sun until the UI turned invisible. All real examples, by the way. The difference in the user experience is staggering.
An anecdotal example from Sweden- there are no Tesla chargers available closeby for people in the big Stockholm metropolitan area.
And so can a Tesla, what's your point?
