It's about a non-boxer opposed flat engine, which is an incredibly compact design. That makes it very flexible to package for range extension for hybrids.
I'm interested because I want to one day build an electric rail (light sports car), and I want to minimise battery weight. 80 horse of generation could get you 400 peak at the wheels, which would be quite a ride if you can keep under 700Kg...
The REX-B is 8,250 Euro and sold out. They are both 23hp, but the Rex-B seems to be a much simpler model. It wouldn't surprise me if the price should be similar, or maybe a bit higher due to inflation, etc.
The estimated delivery is December 2023, so I'd hazard to guess the price should be posted soon(ish).
The more powerful 120hp version of this is 500cc, but I didn't see anything on the site about it specifically.
Honestly, 8,250 Euro seems pretty steep for 23 hp. It's very cool though, and could make a big change in how engines get made in the future, so we'll see how it goes.
