Kitty – a fast, feature-rich, GPU based terminal emulator

kitty has so many bugs to the point of unusability. - wont play well out of the box with ssh - freeze and glitches - breaks nim

alacritty is much stable amd wezterm is the most stable plus featurerich.

for non gpu Konsole wins in startup speed and well optimized

I use kitty as my main terminal, it’s great.

https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/overview/#layouts is a killer feature that i wish wezterm would borrow

Unrelated to the putty fork, I take it

i really like kitty, but there are really annoying moments where it freezes for several seconds on macos. there are some open issues about it but they all boil down to, “this is jank in some apple driver” (iirc?).

i went to alacritty and then wezterm eventually instead.
