Yeah, the title is clickbaity. It’s saying “Dijkstra was most productive when he went into the office one a week to tend to regular things and had the freedom to do whatever he wanted on other days”. Well, duh, I would also be more productive if I had the political freedom to collapse all of my meetings into one day and make them only about what I wanted to talk about and I could do whatever I wanted to on the remaining four. I’m sure if I was a Turing prize winner like he was I would also be afforded that same freedom.
