Exposed is such a cool word. Did you know it used to mean revealing something that people didn't already know and hadn't already talked about non-stop for years?
Have you considered that there are people who do not already know about this? It is weirdly pedantic to focus on the word exposed. While it is usually used in reference to something hidden, it is not exclusively used that way.
