Tell HN: Wayback HN is looking for a new maintainer

Just noticed the message on the footer of https://waybackhn.com , I don't know when it appeared, but it seems like the creator, John, is looking for someone to take over the site.

How is the website different from the date selection on https://news.ycombinator.com/front?day=2023-07-04 ? Was it created before HN added the feature?

I don't see a reason for it to stay, "past" already does this?
