It's already being used. AI was used to generate disinformation in 2020 as well, and onward. It's not a new revelation. One issue is that post-COVID we're less social in-person. This makes us especially susceptible to disinfo campaigns. Another issue is the strategic dumbing down of the youth and boomer generation, via limited access to quality education. We're pushing ahead toward peak idiocracy for the majority of society. It's surreal to see this trend alongside "room temperature superconductors" and "rippling gravitational waves."
