He says they don't describe a critical temp where resistance appears, but I think they do int their paper 127°C

The author is a professor at Ohio State University, specializing in condensed matter theory. His CV list two works on superconductors and a dissertation on supercapacitors.
Assistant professor, but yes. He's not exactly just a "guy with an opinion".
