China still has 10s of thousands. Hong Kong's not very representative of the mainland.
I also saw lots of Internet Cafes in Middle East (Iraq/Syria) few years ago (in 2014/2015) but in the latest years they are almost extinguished.
There seems to be still a few in Dublin. I remember them being collocated with phone shops, not to be confused with places that let you buy phones, but to make calls. Now they seem to be collocated with tanning salons...
It seems like they are still quite prevalent in Japan? At least it seems that way from my YouTube feed.
I wonder what the spread is between traditional Internet cafes and gaming/PC cafes in Japan
