I loved that one. "Everything on your computer is only a few hundred clicks away" :) And the predictive sentences shown on screen are so funny.

There was also a great iphone 5 joke video about it becoming 2 feet long.

Is it just me or is this kind of parody a bit gone these days?

That era of the onion was amazing. I'm not sure if they had a ton of funding back then or what the reason for this was.

Today’s Onion is responsible for this[0] amicus brief with the Supreme Court, which is possibly one the best pieces of satirical writing in history.

I think parody is a bit gone. Conan O'Brien did a bit on the 1st iphone..

Wow, that's going back.

I feel like I don't see them much anymore but The Onion used to produce some hilarious video content. "Prague's Kafka International Named Most Alienating Airport" is still my favorite: https://youtu.be/gEyFH-a-XoQ

I liked Onion Future News from 2137: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKC21wDarBo

Isn't it basically an iPad? :)

No it's got a clickwheel:)

Thought of this when the idiot bar debuted on MacBook "Pro"s.

Or the macbook with the one usb port for charging, video-out, and general usb.

Hey now, IIRC it had two ports but you had to use one for charging, and it had to be the left one.

Nope, the 12-inch macbook had one usb-c port and one headphone jack.

Oh, right, the 12-inch macbook. That one was truly stupid: like it was designed solely to test if you could abuse users with "an iPad with a keyboard" at a laptop price point.

Check out the prices, $2600 for 8 Gb and $9960 for 40 Gb

"It is an investment," hahah. This is also really deft parody of tech press boosterism.
