New talking therapy for depression could be more effective and cheaper than CBT

As someone who spent 5+ years in talk therapy, I’ve been getting DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) treatment for about 4 months and god damn am I grateful for both the individual and group therapy. DBT skill based: it’s not only “talking about your feelings.” Concrete skills are learned. There’s homework prescribed.
DBT — full model — has taught me how to 1) regulate my emotions 2) apply distress tolerance skills for when I’ve breached my threshold
Another modality that’s really piqued my interest is IFS.
Cbt, dbt, ifs, all forms of talk therapy..
Terms like CBT are very broad and every CBT based therapist does things somewhat differently so comparing CBT as a whole seems to make less sense in my mind
Does this sentence sound messed up to anyone else?
The researchers evaluated effectiveness of ADepT versus CBT, looking at both building well-being and reducing depression. The evaluation measured effectiveness at the end of treatment, and over longer-term follow-up. The results indicate that ADepT was definitely not worse than CBT, and has the potential to be better.
Though honestly, living in a nonsensical consumerist system driven by late stage capitalism is the root cause for my depression and until that changes, everything else is just a bandaid.
It helps that the purging and perhaps the MAOI in Ayahuasca seem to have immediate effects after.
When I saw "CBT" the first definition was not "cognitive behavioral therapy" (NSFW) https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=CBT
