Taliban Endorses Twitter over Threads

Hacker News forbids snark in comments, but I think this is impossible in this thread.

The moderation policy may be "lax," but if you are perceived to be an enemy, they will just screw with your account. It's an editorialization aimed at account owners' perceived public identity. This is sabotage- which has far worse potential than strict moderation.

What follows logically is that for Twitter, the Taliban are not an enemy.

Wonder if Musk and co. will view this as a marketing opportunity. "Forget Threads! Twitter is the free speech nexus of the online universe!"

Is vice bankrupt yet? I mean, financially, not ethically. That ship sailed long ago.
