Methods for increasing efficiency of solar cells with silicon and perovskite

Those are a few percent higher than the Silicon/Perovskite cells that will supposedly begin production this year. I don't understand if this is a new type of perovskite or a novel method of applying it. https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/perovskite-solar-goe...

There are some really great youtube videos on this subject from the channel "Undecided by Matt Ferrell". I highly recommend watching them.

This is years away still if they don't even have a prototype for normal cell size let alone a way to mass produce it.

The current solar panels are economically viable, both for big farms and home installations favourably compared to carbon emitting fuels already so while more efficient is obviously better solar and wind are already cheaper.

Dupe and outdated info masquerading as news. Even Wikipedia has a better timeline infographic of efficiency.

Combination of multiple layers and solar concentration seems the end game for PV.

still lab stuff, not scaled and not that impressive since other techniques using silicon (in lab) are roughly the same from an efficiency pov.
